ABOUT US

Asia-Pacific Interrelations and Trade Foundation is a politically independent, international non-governmental organization.

AIT Foundation maintains and supports a network of independent international experts, engaging with politicians, business, religious and civil society leaders and influencers.

AIT's purpose is to educate, enlighten and advise, to pinpoint important problems in societies and offer solutions.
We are working in close cooperation with leading governmental institutes and think-tanks and NGO’s worldwide.

Started as part of a specialist European foundation with only one area of responsibility in 1996 and further developed into a cross-cutting network in 2006 as a European-based but global networking initiative , it quickly and steadily grew into an internationally recognized movement for promoting dialogue, peace, and positive social change around the world.

In 2018, the headquarters were moved to California and finally in 2024 to Delaware (both USA) in order to better legally protect the foundation's purpose, what we believe, is no longer fully guaranteed in Europe.

Our work takes the form of engagement on high-level political issues related to free trade, openness and personal choice, as well as concrete, grassroots initiatives on promoting education, labour market reform and facilitating the increased use of technology.

To achieve our objectives we:

a)
Developing white papers, thought-pieces and carrying out research studies; arranging events; amplifying messages across traditional and social media; as well as building alliances with opinion-formers, decision-makers and stakeholders globally.

b)
Promoting mutual dialogue and understanding of the cultures, histories, religions, philosophies, languages, lifestyles and aspirations in the Asia-Pacific region

c)
Supporting collaboration among organizations, institutions and associations in private and public sectors

d)
Developing closer relations between the peoples and institutions of the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world

e)

Promoting interreligious dialogue in order to enable, expand and consolidate understanding and exchange across the boundaries of individual religious communities and between followers of different faiths.
The goals include enabling a better understanding of one another, increasing mutual interest in the respective religious foundations as well as in the practical practice of religion, and providing incentives to become aware on an objective basis of the similarities and differences between the respective religious communities.

f)

Promoting deeper economic, scientific, educational, interreligious and commercial connections.
